AMAC monarch lauds chairman over appointment

A-76-year old traditional ruler of Dudum Fulani, Mallam Muhammadu Gwadabe, has said that he has been leading the community for about 30 years without recognition and lauded the Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC) administration for recognising him now.
Gwadabe, in a recent chat with Blueprint prior to his inclusion on the list of recognised monarchs under Jiwa chiefdom, said despite his years and contributions to the growth of the community, there was nothing for him and the family.

He then  urged the AMAC chairman, Abdullahi Candido, to consider his situation as well as his campaign promises to the masses, when he was going round.
The monarchs said the area council, through the efforts of Jiwa chief, Idris Musa, recognised him as one among the chiefs on the payroll of AMAC.
Gwadabe described the Abuja Municipal Area Council boss as a leader, who cares for the welfare of his people.
According to him, he has being the ward leader of the community in 80’s without recognition from any of the successful administrations till the coming of the present chairman, who is not even up to a year.
The traditional ruler assured both the chief of Jiwa, Idris Musa and the Council chairman, Candido of his commitment to mobilising his community members for good work.
He called on the Dudun-Fulani residents to be law abiding, especially to the constituted bodies in order to achieved meaningful development in the area.
Gwadabe also announced that activities to celebrate his elevation are in progress, which he said the event would be hold in 2017 after the officially date to be fixed by the Chief of Jiwa.
