Army arrests terrorists, kidnappers in Yobe

Troops of Forward Operation Base located in Fika, Yobe state, have arrested suspected and fleeing Boko Haram terrorists during a patrol of the area.
Army spokesperson, Brig. Gen. Sani Usman said preliminary investigation by the army revealed that the suspect, Bala Ibrahim, 30, is an indigene of Bulabulin village in Fika Local Government Area, Yobe State.

He said the suspect was still undergoing further interrogation..
Usman also said that troops deployed at Forward Operation Base Yuga ambushed  and arrested four suspected kidnappers at Mundu village, following a tip-off by residents of the area.
He said the suspects, Yahaya Auta, 25, Salisu Lawal, 20, Umar Mohammed,18, and Samaila Abubakar were arrested with “one locally made six loader single barrel gun, one empty cartridge, two machetes, a knife, two mobile telephone handsets, two packets of tramol tablets and the sum of N360, while on their way to commit crime.”
He said the suspects were also undergoing further interrogation.
