Badaru commissions projects worth N5.7bn

Governor Mohammed Badaru Abubakar, has urged the people of Jigawa state to be patient with his government, as he is focused on managing the meagre resources of the state despite the tough time presently being faced by Nigerians.
The governor who stated this recently while commissioning road projects at Amaguwa – Gidan Ari and Roni – Gada, added that he was aware of comments being made by people on how his administration is causing them hardship.
Badaru explained that the entire road projects executed recently in the state worth N5.7 billion, saying some of the contracts were awarded by the past administration but nothing much was paid.

He further stressed that all the road projects earlier on awarded by the past government were reviewed and the cost was also reduced by the contracting companies.
The governor said in total, his administration has inherited about 1000 kolimetres road projects worth N81 billion in which N25 billion has being paid already.
He therefore, told the gathering that these achievements were possible because of the use of Calculator. “If not how can we be able to feed our students, pay NECO, pay contractors and do other things”.
He promised that a new specialist hospital will be constructed at Kazaure town, once the site is identified and made available in good time by the authorities concerned in Kazaure.
