Acting Director, Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board (MPWB), Alhaji Shehu Abubakar, has said that the Board would collaborate with the FCT Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps to train intending pilgrims on the safe use of roads in Saudi Arabia.

He disclosed this recently when he received the FCT Sector Commander of the FRSC, Mr. Sunday Oghenekaro, who paid him a courtesy visit in his office.
Abubakar said the collaboration would go a long way in educating the intending pilgrims on how to use busy traffic roads while on spiritual journey abroad.

According to him, the Board is mapping out strategies to improve in the education and orientation programme for intending pilgrims that would ensure successes in the hajj exercise.
Speaking earlier, Oghenekaro said the visit was in line with desire of the FRSC to enlighten government agencies on its activities to ensure safety on the roads.
He said the FRSC had begun the imposition of usage of the speed limiter on vehicles to reduce the rate of loss of lives as a result of accidents due to over speeding.
