Celine Dion: Celebrating music icon at 50

Hip Hop mogul, Diddy has revealed that he is working on an app that will promote black businesses in the United States.

According to him, the app will help users identify businesses owned by black people in their community.

Diddy also revealed that he is talking to Jay-Z about the app, adding that it is part of their black excellence agenda.
Speaking in a GQ cover story, Diddy said that the aim of the app is to help blacks gain economic power.

Time to fight
The Fader reports that the business mogul said that it is time for blacks to stop march, adding that it is time to start charging.
He said “We’re into psychological warfare. The difference is, we’re not trying to hurt nobody.”

“This is not about taking away from any other community.
“We’ll still go to Chinatown. We’ll still buy Gucci! But the application will make it possible for us to have an economic community. It’s about blacks gaining economic power.

“I don’t believe in passiveness.
“At some point there has to be some kind of fight. I feel like we’ve done a lot of marching. It’s time to start charging,” he added.

Promoting black culture
The Fader also reports that Diddy said he and Jay-Z are working out how they can move the black culture forward by earning money and invest it back into their communities.
The name of the app has not been made public yet.
