Directors not at war with FCT Minister

Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Malam Muhammad Bello and directors in charge of city management over the planned Bobo National Parks and Games Reserve, one of the Directors in Abuja Metropolitan Management Council (AMMC) has denied the report.

A section of the media had reported that the Abuja Metropolitan Management Council had expressed regret that the comprehensive report on the viability of the project prepared by the Council following the recommendation

of technical committee conversant with current realities that reviewed the proposal was been jettison by the minister.

According to the report, the minister also went ahead to appoint another committee to advise the FCT Administration on the project.

Speaking to journalists, the director who did not want his name in prints claimed that the project which is ongoing,

only had little modifications to conform with the Abuja Master Plan.

He maintained that “disagreement with the minister as being speculated in some quarters would amount to a house divided against itself, stressing that a candid advise to a superior authority should not be translated to war situation.

“We are not at war with the minister and we can never be.

If we are at war, then it is like a house divided against itself and such house cannot stand. We can only advise the minister as our boss based on present day realty.

“To be honest with you, the Bobo National Parks and Games Reserve project is in progress. The only modification carried out is the redesign to conform with the Abuja Master Plan,” he stated.
