Ex-minister begs youths to get married early

A former of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Senator Bala Abdulkadiri Mohammed, has appealed to youths to engage in early marriage to enable them “build a good home for peace and unity of Nigeria.”
Mohammed made the appeal at the weeding fatiha of three daughters of the National President of Miyetti Allah Kautal hore, Alhaji Bello Abdullahi Bodejo, in his house at Tudu-wada, Karu local government area of Nasarawa state, at the weekend.
The ex-minister said Bodejo, as a distinguished leader of Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore, had shown to the world that he had a testimony of good relationship with the “people of Nigeria, and that is why your house is full of dignitaries.”

“Bodejo siblings, Ayisha, Wosika and Mamunat, that he gave out are because of his pedigree and good understanding he has with the people. I hope the siblings would carry that kind of orientation and the culture to their new homes and those that married from this house should hold them with respect and dignity,” he said.
Speaking in the same vein, Senator Abubakar Sodongi commended the Fulani leader for giving him one of his daughters, Wosika, assuring him that they would hold the daughter in the Sunna of Prophet Mohammed as they were taught. “There would be no rancor, but peaceful co-existent in the canal of Islam.”
Responding, the father of the siblings, Bello Bodejo, advised fathers not to keep their daughters that were of aged longer with them, urging that they should marry them out.
He said further youths that had no wives and girls that had no husbands should try and engage themselves, “especially as the Ramadan period approaches.”

When our correspondent spoke with one of the grooms, Muhammed Mubarak Adamu Jalo, on how he met his wife, he said he met his wife through his father who was a close friend to her father, Bodejo, adding that he decided to fell in love because she was humble with good character.
The ceremony had dignitaries across the country, including ex- Ministers, senators, member of the House of Representatives, the representative of Inspector General of Police, the chairmen of Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore in the 36 states and other businessmen and women in attendance.
