Commissioner of Police in charge of the FCT, Wilson Inalegwu, has ordered water-tight security at all worship centers, recreational parks and crowd-attracting places across the territory.
A press statement by the command’s spokesperson, Angujuri Manzah, said the CP issued the directive to Area Commanders and Divisional Police Officers (DPOs).
Manzah said the Police boss also tasked them to deploy adequately to ensure a
hitch-free celebration and to complement the Area Commands and Divisions, just The spokesperson said the CP also ordered the strategic deployment of plain clothe and uniformed Police personnel from the command headquarters, to man entry and exit points, as well as embark on motorised, foot and static patrol across FCT.
He said while assuring FCT residents of adequate security during the Easter celebration, the CP enjoined residents to continue to partner with the command through the provision of timely information on situations that might require prompt Police response.
