Federal Polytechnic, Nekede, Owerri will be marking her 40th Year Anniversary as a higher institution of academic excellence in the next few days.
The institution which was established in 1978 to be a pacesetter in a demand-driven technology and innovations has since met its set objectives. Addressing about 10,000 students during the institution’s 40th Matriculation Ceremony, the Rector, Dr Mrs. Celestina Njoku disclosed that the anniversary ceremony would also feature 3rd Carnival and Lecture which would be delivered by an alumnus, Mr. Bekee Chidiebere, a one-time SUG President of the school.
She seized the opportunity afforded by the ceremony to advise matriculating students to avoid anything that would cause a breach of peace, demonstration, destruction of lives and property and other vices but to read their books and make do with whatever their parents or guardians might have given them.
