Five ways to invest in people!

I started on investments last week and talked about the three great investment to never ignore. The element of “People” was one of them and this week I want us to explore ways we can make investments into humanity.
There are five simple ways out of so many more by which you can achieve making impact either directly as a result of access or close proximity or indirectly through one of these five ways;

1. Encourage people: It takes a lot of courage to deal with everyday life and you can never imagine the loads of discouragement people face on a daily basis. Many quit, many are depressed and many are left feeling hopeless. Seize any and every opportunity to speak hope and inject courage into that life, that person who is fortunate enough to cross parts with you; you may never be able to comprehend how far those positive words might go and what danger or wrong decision that act of kindness would have preserved them from. Be an Encourager!

2. Help: Another way to invest in people is to help them, every now and then we run into people in dire need of something we possess or something that is in our power to make happen for them. Unfortunately some just say it gets them into more trouble when they help. Well if you think back, you will realize that even you have been helped before, every one of us no matter how well placed in life have received one form of help or the other from someone who either believed in us or pushed us forward just because they were kind. It is safe therefore to suggest that you pay it forward.

Be a helper!
3. Be a role model: This is an indirect way to invest in people. When you are an achiever, a person of character and integrity, you will automatically inspire people by your life because you are setting positive example for them to use as a reference and a guide for their own success. You can be a role model to your community, family, nation and even the world at large. Somehow today there are more negative role models out there but that can change if more rise up, like you and I.

Be a role model!

4. Become a giver of good counsel: You will be amazed at how scarce good advice is for young people today. People have become nonchalant about what goes on around them and prefer not to care.
The society has become more comfortable with holding their opinions to themselves for fear of being disrespected or criticised that your views are either of an old school mentality or that of an enemy out rightly. The negative volume however is on the increase daily and has the ears of these young ones. Let’s consciously invest into the future of our world by speaking, correcting, mentoring and lovingly guiding our children, friends and loved ones into making right decisions as much as we can. Be a plus not a minus!

5. Start a charity group: We have all had different experiences in life, some good, some great, even wonderful and some not so good, some very very bad. But we have come out with a lesson from such experiences. There is a way to make even more profit from such experiences, which is by paying it forward. Doing something that will ensure someone without your experience does not have to experience what you did before they learn. Starting a charity in that respect and raising a support group is like standing by a door after you have just escaped from the dangers within and then warning others not to go in. By this singular act you will be saving a lot, especially those who would heed to your voice.
These are great ways to invest into people.
Let’s all work towards being great human investors. See you at the top!…. Be a Lifechanger!!!!
