In order to nip all criminal activities in the bud, the Jigawa state police command has been reinforced with three new patrol vehicles from the force headquarters.
Acknowledging the arrival of the vehicles yesterday at the police headquarters Dutse, the Commissioner of Police, Rasheed Olatunde Akintunde, warned criminals and their accomplices to leave the state or face the wrath of the police.

Addressing newsmen on the development, he said more vehicles and other working equipment were on their way to the state, pointing out that the command had taken measures to eradicate crime in the state.
He further disclosed that the two buses were going to be used by security operatives as disguise, “because they have nothing to identify them as police vehicles.”
“So, they can be used under cover; even the criminals can stop them on the highways with the intention of committing a crime. Then they will be apprehended,” he said.
