Kamtape community wants health centre

Disturbed by the lack of health care facility, the district head of Kamtape, Alhaji Adamu Adiga, has urged the Bwari area council administration to fast- track the commissioning of the community’s health centre which has since been completed.
He said the entire area which had over 12 communities under it had no primary healthcare centre (PHC) to be serving the residents.

Adiga, who spoke through his palace secretary, Mr. Julius Adamu, said the hospital was built by the former chairman of Bwari area council, Peter Yohana Usahafa, which till date awaiting its official commissioning.
According to him, the people go to places like Asokoro, Maitama and Mpape for medical attention, saying the community members find it difficult going to those places when there is an urgent need for accessing medical attention.

According to him, if the Centre is commissioned, it will assist the residents to have quick access to health facility, especially anti-natal care service, among others.
Adiga called on the present chairman of Bwari area council, Hon. Diko Musa, to assist them by ensuring that both junior and secondary school is established in Kamptape.
He appealed to the Bwari Council administration to do all that would ensure that all facilities needed were duly provided.
