MNJTF receives 15 tactical vehicles, 30 motorbikes

African Union Commission for Peace and Security has donated 15 tactical vehicles and 30 motorbikes to the Multinational Joint Task Force (HQ MNJTF) to enhance mobility of troops in various sectors as they battle Boko Haram terrorists.
Receiving the equipment’s from the AU Commissioner for Peace and Security, Ismail Chergui, Commander of MNJTF, Maj. Gen. Lamidi Adeosun said the force would keep working as a team to ensure success of its mandate.

A statement by the Military Public Information Officer, Col. Mustapha Anka said the MNJTF Commander was represented by the Deputy Force Commander, Brig. Gen. Moussa Mahamat Djoui, who  assured them of MNJTF commitment to ensure Boko Haram terrorist (BHT) are defeated in the shortest possible time.
In his remarks, AU Commissioner for Peace and Security said AU was prepared to do everything possible by way of motivation to show appreciation and encouragement for the sacrifices of the MNJTF troops in the fight against terrorism.
The MNJTF commander also paid host to delegation of Council of Ministers from Lake Chad Basin Commission (LCBC) led by its Executive Secretary and Head of Mission, Engr Sanusi Imran Abdullahi.

In his remark, Engr. Abdullahi noted that “in LCBC there is no demarcation, no nations, as we all work as one and as a team for a common mandate and objective.”
While commending the officers and men of MNJT, Minister of Water Resource of Nigeria, Engr. Suleman Adamu expressed his appreciation for the fantastic brief on activities and achievements of the MNJTF in bringing Peace and Security in the Lake Chad region.

The visit was attended by: AU Commissioner Peace and Security, Ismail Chergui; Nigerian Ambassador to Rep of Chad, Mohammed Dauda; . Minister of Water Resources Nigeria, Suleman Adamu; Minister of Foreign Affairs Nigeria, Hadidja Bukar Abba; Minister of Livestock Central African Republic,  Yerima Mandja; Minister Water and Sanitation Chad, Siddik Abdel Karim; representative of Governor Far North Region Cameroon, Marouf Moussa.

Minister Water and Sanitation Chad, Siddik Abdel Karim thanked the Heads of States of LCBC for the great initiative to effectively implement MNJTF.
He also expressed appreciation on the achievements of MNJTF and encouraged officers and men to continue with their relentless sacrifices in the fight against terrorism.
According to Col. Anka the visit witnessed a detail brief in the activities, achievements and prospects of the MNJTF and visitations.
