NFF dumps Sunday Dankaro House for old Glasshouse

 

There are strong indications that the hierarchy of Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has finally locked up their minds against relocating to recently completed secretariat located within package B of Abuja National stadium.

Aside an insider who confided to Blueprint weekend Sports that the leadership of NFF has stopped any plans to make use of new Football structure, named after late Sunday Dankaro, our Correspondent visibly witnessed offloading and distribution of new office facilities including Refrigerator, upholstery and executive chairs, Tables to various office at the old NFF Glasshouse where they have continued to pay rent, annually.
While old office equipment were removed, the newly purchase materials were immediately replaced.

Checks at the Sunday Damkaro building revealed that the edifice has remained empty, five years after it was completed and handed over to the country’s football administrators.

When contacted, an intermediate Staff of the federation who preferred to lie low confirmed the latest development but added; “Some offices were actually in dire need of working tools due to the fact that the ones they had have damaged. Our superiors are still working on possible relocation of the secretariat to the stadium any moment soon.

On his part, a senior Staff of NFF who didn’t want his revealed lamented how the current board led by Amaju Pinnick has sidelined the Staff of the secretariat in the day to day running of the federation without recourse to their work schedule.

He particularly bemoaned several instances when virtually all newly signed contract between NFF and Sponsors was done without involvement of the secretariat personnel.
