A personnel of Magistrate Court, Birninkudu, Jigawa state, Yusuf Adamu, has been arrested for by officers of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC) for allegedly defiling a 13-year-old orphan (name withheld) at Zango Quarters.
Parading the suspect at the NSCDC Command Headquarters, yesterday, in Dutse, the State Commandant, Muhammed Durmin Iya, said the Adamu, 43, was arrested near the Magistrate Court, Birninkudu, trying to lure the boy with an intention of having the carnal knowledge of him.
He said the suspect, who is married with nine children, confessed during interrogation that he was the one who introduced the young boy to the act and had intercourse with him more than four times in different places.
The NSCDC boss said investigation revealed that the suspect has been using the Court premises for his immoral acts, especially at night and at the weekends.
He explained that Adamu gave money to his victim on each occasion to lure him, however, luck ran out on him the fifth time when he was arrested.
Durumin Iya warned parents and guardians to pay attention and take care of their children and young ones to avoid them falling prey to immoral people in the society.
