Super Eagles camp in Wroclaw is bubbling with the latest quartet arrival of Chinese based Odion Ighalo, Ahmed Musa from Turkey, Ogenyi Onazi and Uche Agbo the quartet arrived yesterday’s afternoon ahead of the match on Friday.
Super Eagles verified Twitter handle confirmed the arrival on Tuesday.
The latest arrivals brought the number of players currently in camp to 18 following the arrival of Francis Uzoho, Elderson Echiejile, Stephen Eze, Joel Obi, Shehu Abdullahi, John Ogu, Moses Simon and Kenneth Omeruo on Tuesday.
The early birds in Eagles camp are Leon Balogun, William Troost-Ekong, Ola Aina, Alex Iwobi, Tyronne Ebuehi and Brian Idowu who all plies their trade in neighbouring countries to Poland who came in on Monday the day the camp officially opened.
The game against Poland comes up Friday, March 23 before the team will head to London for their second international friendly match against Serbia on March 27.
Both friendlies are part of the Eagles’ preparation for this year’s FIFA World Cup in Russia.
The Gernot Rohr led side are in Group D with Argentina, Croatia and Iceland and will kick-off their campaign against Croatia on June 16th in Kaliningrad, Russia
Eagles work out in gym
Unable to get the desired number of players invited to camp the team began their preparation for Friday’s pre-World Cup friendly against Poland with a Stationary Bike Workout session at the Radisson Blu hotel in Wroclaw, Poland
In a 19 seconds video posted on the official Twitter handle of the Super Eagles by the Nigeria Football Federation yesterday , Shehu Abdulahi, Elderson Echiejile, John Ogu, Alex Iwobi, Leon Balogun William Troost Ekong and Ola Aina all took part in the work out while the technical crew were monitoring the performance of each players.
“We hit the gym this morning as preparations begin in earnest for Friday’s pre World Cup friendly against Poland. We share some of the videos with you. #SoarSuperEagles,” a tweet beneath the video reads.
The team is expected to have a light work out again later in the evening while full training will start on Wednesday morning.
Nigeria will face Poland on Friday at the Stadion Miejski in Wrocław.
