The solution is always within the problem

It has always been said that necessity is the mother of all inventions. Have you ever experienced a situation where you were confronted with a problem that seemingly was  hopeless until you looked at it again probably that one last time and there! You saw the solution emerge right from the midst of the problem?
There’s a Nigerian saying that goes “what you’re looking for in Sokoto might be right there in your Shokoto (meaning Trouser).
This week I want to encourage you to take another long and hard look at that situation you’re about to give up on or quit from. I want you to reconsider that that feeling of hopelessness you have concluded.

People are always quick to say, I don’t have anything or I’ve done my best and it’s still not working or I don’t think this is it for me etc. There are many situations  that people have reported “Alas! I or We found a way right in front of us and we didn’t even consider that as an option the whole time.
Often we stretch our minds above and beyond our comfort zones expecting big and extraordinary solutions to come from far. This in itself is not bad, but it does not override the fact that sometimes big problems can have small and local solutions. By that I mean what we despise sometimes can be the doorway to big things.

A lot of business people, widows and unemployed youths have turned negative situations into significant successes because they looked again.
Recently, some residents from a certain suburb part of Lagos had a lot of complaints about an illegal refuse dump that was causing environmental problems. They wondered why the government would not do anything about this dump site. The citizens of that area led by a brave and innovative young lady decided to take matters into their hands by turning this dump into a beautiful garden.
What brought about this drastic difference? Vision! The Vision of the residents. Vision is the reason why two people would be asked to interpret a situation or scenario and you’ll get two different views and opinion.
Where someone sees a problem, an entrepreneur will see an opportunity. Where someone else sees impossibility, an optimist will keep hope that there’s a way out, and his optimism ends up drawing out a solution.
Even people who think they are “good for nothing” are found to be good for something when they encounter someone who can see beyond their facade.

I dare say that the solution to the nation’s problem is also right here within it. Nobody can best solve our problems for us better than we will do it for ourselves. Let’s look within again, this time believing that what is confronting us is not beyond us but something designed to bring out the best in us.
This mind-set is where the solution begins from, and that light or epiphany that we need will burst forth from within us!
This is how heroes are made and innovations born that bring amazing benefits to humanity!
You are the change that you seek and the solution that is present with the problem. Let the change begin with you and I….. Be a Lifechanger!!!!
