Torunarigha advised to play for Nigeria at World Cup

Hertha Berlin fast rising defender Jordan Torunarigha has been advised by his agent to consider the option given to him by coach of the Nigerian team Gernot Rohr to represent the Super Eagles at the World Cup.
The 20 year old who is comfortable as a left back or as a central defender made his U21 debut for Germany, but 48 hours before his debut, his intermediary has asked him to seriously consider playing for Nigeria at the World Cup. Thomas Zorn revealed that the defender who has made ten Bundesliga appearance for Hertha Berlin this season with a goal to his name has been offered a chance to be at the World Cup with Nigeria.
According to Zorn, the offer is huge honour and a confirmation of his progress after a short while, but he however said he could still represent Germany at senior level after playing for them at three different age levels. “That’s true. We have such a request from the NFF. Jordan must listen to his heart,” Zorn said in a newspaper interview in Germany. “This request is a huge honour, and also a confirmation for his great development. But I think his journey for the German FA is not over.”
