Troops arrest ‘killer’ of soldier in Kogi

 

Troops of the Headquarters Command, Army Records and Headquarters Special Forces have arrested the suspected killer of a soldier, Corporal Mamman, of the Headquarters Special Forces.
The suspect, Mohammed Bashir, was arrested during an operation by the troops at Irovochinomi and Egee communities within Okene local government area of Kogi state, according to army spokesperson, Brig.-Gen. Texas Chuckwu, in a statement
He said the operation was a continuation of intensive patrol across the states following a report on criminal hideouts on Sunday, last week.
According to him, items recovered from the suspect include two AK 47 rifles with registration number 58008731 and 45 rounds of 7.62mm special was recovered.
He said a follow up on the operation led to recovery of additional two AK 47 rifles.
“The public are once again reminded that the operation still in progress,” he said.
