W/Bank, ZEDA to partner on digital ICT

 

The World Bank and Zaria Education Development Association (ZEDA), a non- governmental organisation, are to partner on digital information and communication technology (ICT).
Secretary General of the association, Dr Isa Mohammed Abbass, said while addressing journalists in Zaria, ahead of the association’s 25th annual general meeting scheduled for this Saturday that a team of World Bank were at the association to assess the facilities on ground to assess the standard for ICT partnership.
Dr Abbass pointed out other international developing partners of his association on various humanitarian service to include UNICEF, Rotary International, Microsoft, and British Council.
He further said the association was in partnership with the National Automotive Council, Nuhu Bamalli Polytechnic, Zaria, National Animal Production Research Institute (NAPRI) and National Research Institute for Chemical Technology (NARICT), Zaria as indigenous partners on skill acquisition.
Our correspondent reports that, as part of the activities lined up for the silver Annual General Meeting, there would be public lecture tomorrow to be delivered by former Vice Chancellor, Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria and Gombe state University, Prof Abdullahi Mahdi under the chairmanship of a former Vice Chancellor of the same university, Prof Ango Abdullahi while a former Head of State, General Abdulsalami Abubakar, will chair the annual general meeting on Saturday.
