Wahala as poor Yobe couple welcomes quadruplets

By divine intervention a poor woman of Didiyo village, in Fika local government area of Yobe state, Zainab Adamu, a mother of two, gave birth to quadruplets.

It is desire of every couple that after their wedding is a blessing or fruits of the womb.
A quadruplet is four off spring born at one birth.
Seven months- old pregnancy Haruna Abubakar and his wife Zainab, are peasant farmers living at Didiyo village of Fika local government council of Yobe state and blessed with two children after 8 years of marriage.
Recently, his wife delivered quadruplets babies at seven months old pregnancy.
The poor family which lives in one room that lacks basic amenities had recently had additional four members to the family in a quadruplet birth at Federal Medical Centre Azare, Bauchi state.
Three ante-natal before birth Zainab who told Blueprint that she attended ante-natal only three times during her pregnancy had no knowledge on the number of babies in her womb, until when she went for scanning in Potiskum, prior to the delivery and it was confirmed that four babies were in her womb, which she later gave birth through cesarean operation.
The babies are now under intensive care of Federal Medical Centre, Azare who also gave the babies and their mother free medication.
Naming The babies’ names; (three are girls and a boy), are Adama, named after the wife of their Emir (Hajiya Adama), the other two girls are named after their relations (Aisha and Zuwaira) while the boy is named after the Fika local government council Chairman, Alhaji Adamu Bazam.
Government’s Assistance Considering the poor condition of the couple, the Fika local government council boss, Alhaji Bazam through the Coordinator of the Maternal and Child Health Centre in the local government donated the sum of N87,000.00 to the family for food supplements to feed the babies.
The Maternal and Child Health Centre coordinator in the local government Hajiya Hauwa, said, she had reported the matter to the state Health Care for intervention so as to save the lives of the children and their mother.
The Village Head of Didiyo, who is the grand father to the quadruplets, Mal.
Abubakar Haruna, appealed to well meaningful individuals, philanthropists, government and other humanitarian organizations to come to their assistance.
As the mother and her babies set for discharge from the hospital, the family is worried about food, shelter and clothing.
Because of these challenges, the woman is appealing for help from kind spirited organizations and individuals.
