‘We’ve solution to insurgency in Nigeria’

President and Chief Executive Officer of Newstime International Company, Mr Tony Oyatedor, yesterday said his organisation had the ability to provide solutions to insurgency challenge in the North if the federal government was ready to partner with it.
He called for immediate ceasefire between the government and insurgents in order to put an end to wanton killings and destruction of property.
Oyetador, who stated this at a press conference in Kaduna, added that instead of going around the world to look for solutions to problems in Nigeria, the federal government should seek help within.
He said government at all levels had been spending fortunes on acquiring weapons, noting that security operatives “cannot restore peace, but can only restore law and order.”
He said: “The federal government, state government, local government and public companies must work in partnership with Newstime to bring peace in Nigeria.
“Once again, we at Newstime are calling on a cease-fire on the part of Boko Haram and the federal government of Nigeria to end the bloodshed and destruction in the North. Enough is enough of destruction of lives and property in the name of revenge or God, Allah or Jehovah.
“Nigerians must shift from persecution to toleration. We at Newstime will continue in this glorious endeavour in preaching, teaching, praying, fasting, working and giving to mankind in general and Nigeria in particular.”
Continuing, he said: “The solution to the problems in Nigeria is the knowledge of the word not weapon. We at Newstime preach peace to Nigerians in every nooks and cranes of Nigeria.
“No responsible leader will stand and permit preventable catastrophe of little proportion to continue to befall his people before taking appropriate steps. Instead of consistently given excuses, we have a situation today in Nigeria, after every bomb blast, leadership will release statement and say they condemn the act, they will bring the perpetrators to book, settle the hospital bill of those that are injured and take care of burial of those killed.”
