The Yobe state government has said it is ever ready to support corps members in the state in their efforts to develop and upgrade communities.
This was disclosed by the Commissioner for Youths, Sports and Social Development, Alhaji Tijjani Zanna Zakariya, who was represented by Director Youths and Social Development, Alhaji Mohammed Dafa at a one day workshop organised for stakeholders and serving corps members in the state.
“The state government is always committed towards the safety of corps members in the state and our doors are always open for corps members seeking support for any developmental programme,”he said. In a keynote address, the Director General of NYSC, Brigadier General, Suleiman Kazaure, who was represented at the occasion by Mr. Dawud Jidda said “the workshop is important as it would identify challenges and proper solution to the problems stressing that hence forth corps members would not be rejected from any government organization”.
Earlier in his address, the state NYSC Coordinator, Mrs. Grace Adzer said she was delighted to welcome all the invited guests for the one day workshop stressing that similar workshop was held in May 2013. Mrs. Grace maintained that the workshop was an opportunity for all corps members to develop their skills, stressing the need for maximum cooperation among them.
