Kaduna Int’l Trade Fair clocks 40, seeks partnerships



The President, Kaduna Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (KADCCIMA), Dr Muheeba Dankaka on Thursday officially announced the celebration of 40th year Anniversary of the Kaduna International Trade Fair.

The theme of the forthcoming Fair slated for 29th March to 7th April 2019 is entitled: consolidating interface between industry and agriculture for Nigeria’s sustainable development.

Dankaka made the announcement on Thursday during a visit to Blueprint Corporate Headquarters’ in Abuja.

According to her, the medium’s consistency, courage, objectivity and contribution in the coverage of successive Kaduna International Trade Fair informed his team visit and the encomiums that followed.

She said, “The purpose of our visit to you today is to appreciate the contribution of your journalism outfit especially in the area of objectivity and courage.

“I like to also thank you for being consistent in the coverage of our activities and to hint you on our forthcoming trade fair which coincide with our 40th year anniversary,”

While seeking the medium partnership in the area of publicity ahead the 2019 Fair, Dankaka took time to reel out some of the programmes slated for the annual event.

Speaking earlier, Chief Operating Officer of Blueprint, Salisu Umar assured the delegation of the papers support in terms of publicity.

“Be rest assured that we will give you the much needed publicity,” he added.

The COO who was represented by the Managing Editor, Mr. Clement Oluwole said urged the KADCCIMA delegate to reciprocate the newspapers gesture through advert placement in the newspapers.

Fielding questions from some staff of the newspaper, the Director General of KADCCIMA, Usman G.Saulawa, disclosed that over 70 foreign companies have indicated interest to be part of the trade fair.

He said that the Chamber was not relenting as it hopes to attract more foreign companies to be part of the 10-day event.
