Ndume celebrates Saraki’s defeat, says he ‘played God’

The senator representing Borno South, Senator Muhammadu Ali Ndume, has expressed happiness over the defeat of the Senate President, Senator Abubakar Bukola Saraki, describing it wrath of the people.

Ndume, who was suspended for 18 months by the Bukola Saraki led senate for speaking on a matter after the senate thought he ought not, accused Saraki of putting on undue air in the conduct of the business of the senate.

“Maybe this will remind Saraki that there is God and that he should always conduct himself with the fear of God”, he said.

Ndume said Senator Saraki has been playing God during his tenure as Senate President stating: “once you try to play God, God will react. Saraki played God, and he has seen how God usually react.”

He said “Saraki took things for granted. This is the consequence of taking things for granted.”

Reacting to PDP’s rejection of the presidential election results, Ndume said: “there is no result yet. There is only collation of results, so I don’t know what PDP has come out to reject.

“It is not surprising the PDP had shown desperation about this election right from the beginning. There is nothing they can tell Nigerians in a free and fair election. They can’t win.

“The PDP complained on issues, but the APC campaigned on issues”, he said.
