Youthful new breed politicians are set to take over political leadership of Kaduna state and Nigeria in 2023, MEGA Party of Nigeria gubernatorial candidate in the Kaduna state governorship election, Hon. Muhammad Kabir Usman has said.
Addressing the media on Thursday in Kaduna, Usman, who called on Nigerian youth to rally round President Muhammadu Buhari in order to secure their future, urged the old breed politicians to get ready to vacate the scene for the upcoming youth.
According to the youth, President Buhari’s victory at the just concluded presidential election, stemmed from the huge support given to him by youth across the country following his effort in signing into law the Not Too Young To Run Bill, which provided an opportunity for the teeming Nigerian youths to vie for elective positions at various levels.
Usmsn said he has just began his political career, adding that “my party is set to unseat old breed politicians by 2023 general elections. It is the turn of the youth and new breed politicians to take up the leadership of Kaduna state and Nigeria in general.
“I appreciate the leadership of our great party, Mega Party of Nigeria (MPN) and all its members who had displayed thier unalloyed support and courage by supporting my candidacy as a gubernatorial candidate in Kaduna state. It is our hope that with your collective support come 2023, our political party would be given an opportunity by the good people of Kaduna state to chart the course of our dear state in the right direction,” he said
The gubernatorial candidate, who stepped down for Governor el-Rufai in the run-up to the governorship election, said he is confident that el-Rufai’s administration will be driven by youth empowerment and active participation of youth in governance towards provision of adequate healthcare, sustainable human capital development, improved agricultural system, quality and affordable education at all levels.
“Consequently, with the confidence so reposed in Governor el-Rufai by the good people of Kaduna state by reelecting him as our Governor, we are obviously assured that as a man of high repute, he will justify the confidence so reposed, and he would not disappoint us.”
