21 political parties adopt Nyako as guber candidate


The public acceptance of African Democratic Congress (ADC) governorship candidate in Adamawa state Senator Abdulaziz Nyako may have increased following his adoption by 21 political parties, who want him to step up to the higher level as governor.

The parties, which endorsed his candidature yesterday in a colourful ceremony included The United People’s Congress (UPC), African Peoples Alliance (APA) Democratic Alternative Party (DAP), Alliance for Social Democrats (ASD) among others.

The parties said Senator Nyako what it takes to govern Adamawa state and take it to a level where infrastructure deficit would be a thing of the past.  

They announced their shift of loyalty to Senator Nyako during the flag off of the governorship campaign of the senator.

Meanwhile, the senator has promised to run an all inclusive government that would create opportunities for persons, provide jobs for youths as well as respond to the yearnings of the people for empowerment and security.

According to him, if elected his administration would be fair, honest and just to all, and would not be based on deception as experienced in the last four years.

He also promised to re-introduce skills acquisition programmes, provides security, priority to the education, healthcare, among others as were the case during his father’s administration.

The highlight of the event was the presentation of the ADC flags to the Senator Nyako, senatorial, House of Representative, and State Assembly candidates. The campaign team also toured Toungo, kiri, Jada, among other villages.
