2919: I’Il redefine representation, if … – Ugorji

House of Representatives candidate of the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) for Ikwuano Umuahia Federal constituency, Hon Mark Ugorji, has promised to redefine representation if given the mandate to represent his people in the forthcoming National Assembly elections.

Hon Ugorji made this promise Saturday at Ahiaukwu Olokoro in Umuahia South local government of Abia state shortly after he was officially handed over the flag as the candidate by the state chairman of the party, Barr Nnanna Ukegbu.

He added that his people should expect quality representation, infrastructural development of the federal constituency and provision of jobs, skill acquisition for the youth.

Also, he said greater efforts would be made to get the youths off the streets and vowed to fight drug abuse, cultism through provision of skills to the youths and their proper engagement.

Further, Ugorji promised to promote bills that would favour the less privileged noting that he was not going to the National Assembly as a dormant member but as an active participant in lawmaking and oversight functions.

“I am going to redefine representation if given the mandate in 2019 so that in 2023,you people will give me a return ticket on the platter of gold.”

He maintained that he was going to be a very active, vibrant National Assembly member while expressing optimism that he has what it takes to give his good people effective representation.

He called on his people to vote for him and other APGA candidates because they would deliver the goods when the chips are down.

Earlier, the party state chairman noted that APGA was a grassroots party with candidates that possess intimidating academic and work experience pedigrees.

In his vote of thanks, the state Secretary of the party, Elder Sunday Onukwubiri, commended the people of Ikwuano Umuahia for trooping out en masse to witness the flag handing over ceremony.

He, therefore, called on the people to support their son in his avowed commitment to redefine representation, if elected.
