Ahead Easter: Foundation set to dole out gifts to widows, orphans

As part of the activities to celebrate the Easter festive season in April, Isreal Ibeleme Foundation has rolled out plans to recognize the widows, orphans and the less privileged around the Federal Capital Territory and Nasarrawa.


The Chief Executive Officer and Convener of the Foundation, Israel Ibeleme said the measure became necessary to recognise the less privileged in the society. 
He said the foundation which centres more in assisting the widows, orphans and the less privileged in the society.


Ibeleme stated that the foundation is documenting how to reach out to out-of-school children, orphans in the schools around Abuja, Nasarrawa and its environ. 
According to him: “We have been doing these in the last 13 years and this year will be very different because we want to capture out-of-school children and orphans who can’t afford Text books and Exercise books.


“I remember while I was growing up when I have nothing to eat, to wear and not even shoes to put on. When I remember all what I went through while growing up I also want to give back to the society.
He said so far the foundation has reached out to more states in South-East and South-South.


He called on stakeholders and the federal government to fund Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs) and foundations who are willing to help the less privileged in the society.
