Anambra: Obiano assures readiness to unmask ex-lawmaker’s killers

Governor Willie Obiano of Anambra State has assured that the state government would not rest on its oars until killers of late Chief Tony Igboka were apprehended and brought to book.

Igboka, a one time member of Anambra State House of Assembly and former Chairman of Njikoka LGA, was killed on April 16, 2019 at a market place in his country home, Nimo, Njikoka Local Government Area (LGA) by unknown gunmen.

He was also the community’s President General until his life was cut shot.

Speaking at Nimo, headquarters of the Njikoka LGA when he visited the family of the deceased, Obiano reassured that security would remain top priority towards sustaining the developmental strides in the State.

He renewed his directive to security agencies to thoroughly investigate and fish out the culprits, even as he confirmed the N5 million bounty offer his administration put in to any person who could offer useful information leading to arrest of killers of Igboka.
