Auchi Poly alumni builds lecture hall

Auchi Polytechnic Alumni Association (APAA) at the weekend performed the foundation stone laying ceremony for a lecture hall for its School of Business Studies.

APAA National President Victor Okhaimo said the building would cost N50m and that it would be completed within six months.

He stated that the decision to embark on the project was to enhance educational development of the institution.

“The alumni will continue to promote academic excellence and attract more infrastructure development to the institution. I appealed to old boys of the school to support and contribute their quota,” he said.

Okhaimo promised more contribution to support the growing needs of the institution, adding that the building would be completed and handed over to the institution in August this year.

The rector of the polytechnic, Dr Sanusi Jimah, said, “Last year, the alumni constructed and donated a storey building for engineering studio, now they have embarked on the construction of a lecture hall. The alumni association has come to where we want them to be; to partner with us and strive for the growth of the institution,” he said.
