Easter: Church doles out gifts, foodstuff to orphanages, others

As part of activities to mark the Easter celebration, Dunamis International Gospel Centre in Phase 4, Kubwa, Abuja doled out food items among other gifts to children of two orphanage homes in Kubwa.

The orphanage homes are: the Divine Wounds of Jesus and Ark of Refuge Orphanage homes.

The church also visited patients at the General Hospital, King’s Care Hospital and Unity Clinic & Maternity all in Kubwa as well as with inmates at police cells and Kuje Prison, Abuja.

The pastor of the church, Pastor Olusegun Ayodele and his wife Jane, led members of the Church to share the joy of Easter with the less privileged said it was part of the Church’s Corporate Social Responsibility urging the recipients to have confidence in God who is able to turnaround their lives and destinies. 

He assured them of the Church’s continued care for their welfare. 

Pastor Ayodele said the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus is the bedrock of Christianity which reconciles believers with God.

While praying for them, the Pastor enjoined governments at all levels to rule with the fear of God knowing they will one day give account of their stewardship before Him.

He urged leaders to be sensitive to the needs of the citizenry and provide dividends of democracy to alleviate their sufferings.

The items donated noddles, rice, garri, clothes, shoes, toiletries and books.
