Easter: FRSC records 7 road crashes in Niger


The Niger Command of the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) has said that it recorded seven road crashes in different parts of the state during the Easter celebration.

the FRSC Sector Commander in Niger, Mr Joel Dagwa, said this Wednesday in Minna.

Dagwa said 19 people and eight vehicles were involved in the crashes and added that 15 persons were injured.

He said the accidents involved three commercial vehicles, three motorcycles and two private vehicles adding that no death was recorded.

The sector commander, therefore, appealed to motorists in the state to desist from speeding, overloading and wrongful overtaking.

He urged them to imbibe the attitude of safe driving and consideration for other road users.

Dagwa cautioned motorists against violation of traffic rules and regulations adding that the command would not hesitate to prosecute offenders.
