The Mass Action Joint Alliance (MAJA) House of Representatives candidate for Mbaitoli/Ikeduru federal constituency, Imo state, Comrade Nobleiyke Edoziem has vowed to take the incumbent, Henry Nwawuba to the tribunal for electoral irregularities.
Edoziem, who spoke to our correspondent, accused Nwawuba of writing the result of the election that gave him victory. He said the greater part of the irregularities were perpetrated in wards in the Ikeduru part of the constituency where elections did not take place, yet results were produced at the local government area.
He specifically mentioned Amaeke in Iho and Amaruru in Umuokoro booths where there were no elections.
The MAJA candidate also said after collation of results, nobody signed the result sheets except agents of Nwawuba’s People’s Democratic Party(PDP), after which they went to the Mbaitoli local government headquarters to declare Nwawuba winner. He stated that he would take him to court because he had the original results with him.
