The Federal Polytechnic Ukana, Akwa Ibom state, is set to establish an entrepreneurship centre for youth development.
The centre would train youth on specialised trades and crafts as part of the polytechnic’s contribution to youth empowerment.
Speaking in Ukana during a visit to the paramount ruler of the council area, His Royal Majesty Okuku Cosmas Akpan and other royal fathers, the rector, Dr. Uduak Ukekpe, advocated the support and partnership of the royal fathers and the host communities to actualise his dream for the institution.
Akpan pledged that the traditional institution and the host communities would support the development of the polytechnic in all endeavours.
