Imo assembly members-elect assure of quality Representation


Incoming members of the Imo State House of Assembly who received their certificates of return Wednesday from the Independent National Electoral Commission(INEC) have been speaking on how to represent their constituents in the next political dispensation.


The member-elect for Orlu State constituency, Hon. Paschal Okolie of the People’s Democratic Party(PDP) said his constituents would be given quality representation in the Assembly.


He promised to work for the unity of the state and then go a step further to deliver dividends of democracy to his constituents better than what the incumbent representative is doing now. 


He also assured that the majority his party would be forming in the Assembly (13 out 27 and expecting more) would be utilized to benefit the state more than what has been in vogue, whereby the majority is used to massage the ego of the incumbent governor.


Also speaking,  the member-elect for Oru West State constituency, Hon. Barr. Dominic Ezerioha, also a PDP man said his target was to legislate for the people of the state by making laws that would benefit the entirety of the citizenry and hoped that due process would be the order of the day.
Specifically on his constituency, he said he would focus on the electricity problem of the area, road network, health, job creation, well being of the aged among others.
