members across the north to vote out selfish and corrupt politicians
from office.

He said: “We have mandated our structures across the north to vote out
selfish and corrupt politicians from office. This is to sanitize our
state governments, National Assembly and state Assembly to enhance
good governance and strengthen our democratic institutions.

”The state and zonal coordinators are advised to look out for
credible candidates for our support.  We wish to call on all Nigerians
to be our brother’s keepers and avoid making inflammatory speeches
that will put our country into trouble.’’

He stated that the TIC was determined to promote good governance and
peaceful coexistence of all Nigerians adding that the youth council
shall always rise in defence of the truth and condemn any act of
injustice.

He also disclosed that leadership of the group has mandated all the 23
local government areas, Coordinators and zonal officers in Benue to
immediately commence massive mobilization for the re-election of
President Buhari, this Saturday.

”The leadership of Tiv Youth Council and indeed entire Youth of Benue
state, today, collectively raised their voice and support to the
nationwide massive clamour for the continuity in office of President
Buhari.

“The president has recorded modest achievements in the past four years.
A lot of money was recovered and for the first time in the history of
Nigeria, high profile corruption cases were completed and two former
governors are presently in prison, serving their various jail terms.

”The security agencies have been boosted with procurement of latest
arms and ammunition; capacity building has also been enhanced. Much
success has been recorded in the fight against Boko Haram, armed
herdsmen, kidnapping and cultism.

”The present government has done well in the area of road
construction, Aviation, Railway resuscitation, and youth empowerment
especially the N-Power initiatives and the Agricultural Revolution.
Nigeria’s international reputation has been strengthened as well,” he
added.
