We have confidence in INEC despite postponement- Fulani group

Following the postponement of presidential and National Assembly
elections for one week by the Independent National Electoral
Commission (INEC), a Fulani Initiative for Peace and Orientation,
Miyetti Allah Wallidira said they are confident of INEC’s preparations
for the elections.

Speaking with newsmen in Abuja on Monday, national chairman of the
group, Alhaji Yusuf Musa Ardo said INEC did not do badly by postponing
the elections.

He said it is better they shifted the poll and have a credible one
than to rush into it and fail.
“This group praise INEC for the wisdom they displaced at the right
time. We should commend them for saving Nigerian from darkness of
fraudulent people, we are very much confident that they are going to
deliver come Saturday,” Ardo said.

He called on Nigerians to have patience with the electoral body so
that at the end, Nigeria democracy would be strong.

The group advised that Nigerians should be cautious of who they cast
their vote because some candidates are desperate for power.

The group called on the security agencies to take full responsibility
for any action they take, saying they are capable of handling any
issue and they should not allow anybody to cause crisis during and
after the elections.
