We’ll vote out bad govt in Abia, says Apugo

The All Progressives Congress (APC) House of Representatives candidate for Ikwuano Umuahia federal constituency, Hon Martins Ikechukwu Apugo, has stressed the need to vote out the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for bringing untold hardship on the people.

He stated this yesterday during his rally at “Nigerian Railway quarters, Umuahia North area of Abia state.

He called on Abians and residents alike to see the need to vote out bad governance in the state, saying this was caused by the Peoples Democratic Party led government.

He noted that Abians have not had it this bad and insisted that the PDP government has inflicted unimaginable hardship on the state.

Apugo, a former Abia state Environmental Protection Agency (ASEPA) general manager under a PDP administration called on the people of Ikwuano to vote him and other APC candidates in the forthcoming elections in order to reverse the poor representation and bad government in the state.

He described the PDP as a child in elementary one who has been in the same class for 20 years without progressing to the next class.

Apugo urged the people to vote for President Muhammadu Buhari, Uche Ogah for governor, himself for House of Representatives, Hon Kenneth Maduakolam for Umuahia Central Abia for House of Assembly member and other candidates of the party.

The Diamond Football Academy proprietor said the PDP his former party believes in rigging, adding that the APC will resist any attempt to rig the forthcoming elections in the state.

He lamented that the only noticeable projects in the state are the ones executed by the APC led federal government such as renovation of school buildings, road rehabilitation and Free Feeding Meal Programme, etc.

“In the years past, the Modern Ceramics industry, Golden Guinea Breweries, Umuahia, International Glass Industry, Aba, and Ogwe Modern Chickens, were all established by visionary leaders unlike PDP leaders who are not creative to provoke developmental projects like leaders of yore”.

Responding, the leadership of Railway Quarters promised Apugo and Maduakolam and others of their support in the forthcoming elections.
