Yobe State Commissioner of Budget and Economic Planning, Alhaji Idi Barde Gubana has handed over the affairs of his ministry to contest as deputy governor alongside former APC National Secretary, Mai Mala Buni under the auspices of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Yobe.
The event took place on Wednesday at the governor’s office in Damaturu.
Gubana, said “the handing over became necessary on his decision to join politics for the race of the up-coming gubernatorial election in Yobe state as Deputy Governor come March 2, 2019”.
“I am lucky to serve under this administration as commissioner and I have no regret whatsoever because we have been amicably treated”.
“I will say without any hesitation, that we were able to build a good name and reputation for the ministry as well as the state” he said.
He further thanked all the staff of the ministry for their assistance to excel promising if elected as Deputy Governor, his doors will always be opened to accommodate and tolerate decisions.
Receiving the mantle of leadership of the ministry, the permanent secretary, Babaji D. Galadima thanked the outgoing commissioner and wishes him success at the polls.
He, said his leadership style will continue to ring in the minds of the staff of the ministry especially his dedication, humility and discipline.
