10 Zamfara parties endorse Marafa for gov

No fewer than 10 opposition political parties in Zamfara State have unanimously endorsed Senator Kabir Garba Marafa to contest the 2019 governorship election under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
A statement signed by the state chairman Action Alliance (AA), Alhaji Bello Aliyu Alkali, said at the end of a joint meeting of the opposition political parties held in Gusau the capital city of Zamfara, yesterday that the Senator representing Zamfara central, has the credentials to govern the state.
The opposition members, who described Senator Marafa as an icon, honest and patriotic politician that has worked assiduously to bring positive changes to his constituency since 2011 till date, assured him of their unflinching support in the forthcoming election should he join the race.
“Considering the Senator Marafa, we deemed it necessary to support him and we are hoping that, his party, the APC will give him the governorship ticket the 2019 election in Zamfara state”.
According to them, the senator has facilitated the construction of many primary healthcare centers, brought about youth empowerment programmes, provision of portable water, solar electricity, scholarship for students, distribution of cars, motorcycles, sewing machines to mention but a few to the peoples of his constituency during his stewardship in the senate from 2011 to date.
The opposition parties that endorsed senator Marafa during the meeting are: Action Alliance (AA), National Action Council Party(NAC), Peoples Democratic Movement (PDM), Masses Movement of Nigeria(MMN), Freedom Justice Party (FJP), Peoples Redemption Party(PRP), Fresh Party of Nigeria (FPN), Hope Democratic Party (HDP), Nigeria Democratic Liberty Party (NDLP) and National Green Party(NGP), respectively.
