100 days in office: Yobe residents pass verdict on Buni’s live phone-in programme

As governor Mai Mala Buni of Yobe state clocks 100 days in office, a live phone-in conversation was relayed on Yobe Broadcasting Corporation (YBC) and Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN).
Afterwards, Yobe state residents expressed their satisfaction with the
governor’s performance.

All Progressives Congress (APC) Youth Leader in Damaturu, Yusuf  Goni
(Kaka), said the governor has answer to all questions that might be asked that was why he availed himself for the phone-in programme.

An indigene of Yobe state, Hajiya Zara, on her part, said this was her memorable day haven interacted directly to highly placed governor, adding, “I told him about the road problems in our area and he promised to do something”.

For another respondent, Abubakar Mustapha, “ the governor has surprised us within this few days in office, the resuscitation of the flour mill, Aluminum
companies and the foundation laying of trailer park all in Potiskum, I
know over 10,000 youths will gain employment.”

Many others who spoke to Blueprint described the governor as a true democrat, saying they were delighted with the phone-in programme of a sitting governor in the state holding after almost two decades.

They pleaded with the governor to allow the programme hold at-least
quarterly so that he would know the true position of things going on in the state.
