No fewer than 107 aspirants on the platform of All Progressives Congress have purchased the nomination form to contest for the 24 seats in Gombe state House of Assembly.
Zonal vice chairman, South of the party, Mr.
Julius Ishaya, who disclosed this while speaking with newsmen in Gombe yesterday said out of the 107 aspirants, 5 are females from the Southern zone of the state while 2 are physically challenged from the central zone.
He said, the party has stopped the sale of the nomination forms at the state level and that those aspiring were returning completed forms which will be taken to the party’s national headquarters in Abuja by this Friday.
He expressed satisfaction with the way and manner the aspirants conducted themselves while procuring the forms at the party’s secretariat in the state.
Mr. Ishaya advised the women that with the 50 per cent subsidy offered to them by the party, they should come out and show their interest in the election.
