Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo state has stated that he supported the preferred aspirants of the All Progressives Congress (APC) that would lead the 10th National Assembly.
The Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Oguike Nwachukwu, said he was backing Senator Akpabio and Barau as Senate President and Deputy Senate President and the Abbas/Kalu ticket in the House of Representatives as Speaker and Deputy Speaker positions.
Oguike made it clear that the governor had been a committed party man and that there was no reason to support any other person other than the people chosen by the ruling party.
Meanwhile, other aspirants like Senators Osita Izunaso and Orji Uzor Kalu are still campaigning strongly to head the Senate.
