Nigerian pop artist Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun popularly known as Wizkid has emerged as the Nigerian artist of the year after beating Burnaboy and Naira marley at the just concluded Headies award 2021.
He won in two categories – Artiste of the year and Viewers Choice Award.
Fireboy won the Best R&B Single, Best R&B Album, Best Pop Award and Best Headies Revelation to make him the artiste with the most awards of the show.
While DJ Neptune song Nobody – that features JoeBoy and Mr Eazi won two awards.
