2 in court for burglary, theft

Two men, Ini Joshua, 22; and Anthony Bankole, 50; have been dragged before an before an Ota Magistrates’ Court in Ogun state, for allegedly breaking into a shop and stealing 20 bags of rice and other valuables worth at N590,000.
The duo, who were arraigned yesterday, on twocount charge of conspiracy and stealing, however, pleaded not guilty to the charge when it was read to them.
Police Prosecution insisted that the accused committed the offences with others still at large on May 28 at 1.05 a.

on Ijasa Osike Road, Iyana-Iyesi near Ota.
The accused broke into the shop of the complainant, Mrs Funmilayo Adeyeye and stole the 20 bags of rice and other items all valued at N590,000, Police Prosecutor Chudu Gbesi, told the court.
The offences contravened Sections 411(2) and 516 of the Criminal Law of Ogun, 2006.\
