2 days after fans invaded pitch, Ganduje sacks Babangida, appoints new Kano Pillars Chairman

Kano state Governor Abdullahi Ganduje has sent Chairman of 2019 Federation Cup winners Kano Pillars Alhaji Muhammad Tukur Babangida packing.

Babangida was booted out despite leading Champions League-bound team to their first-ever cup victory after 66 years.

In his place, Surajo Yahaya has been appointed.

Kano Pillars fans became the subject for ridiculous discussions shortly after they allegedly unleashed crisis at the final of 2019 FA Cup on Sunday in Kaduna.

It was a match governor Ganduje and three deputy governors watched.

The incident scared all invited guests away before the cup was presented to Kano Pillars.

The governor also announced heads of other government agencies.
