2 Killed as gunmen raze Gov. Uzodinma’s house in Imo

A day after disclosing to newsmen that 50 suspects of the Easter Monday Imo attacks have been arested and that they were sponsored by politicians, Governor Uzodimma’s palacial building at his country home, Omuma, Oru West LGA of Imo state has been razed.

Although the Police Public Relations Officer(PPRO) Imo Police Command, Mr Orlando Ikokwu could not be reached to confirm the incident due to his busy line, an eyewitness told our correspondent that two people were killed in the process by the unknown gunmen that attacked the mansion.

Efforts to find out why or what led to the incident proved abortive,  but a threat from the leader of the Indigenous Peoples of Biafra(IPOB), Mazi Nnamdi Kanu two days ago, saying that unless Uzodimma and AIG Zone 9, Ene Okon were relieved of their positions because of their stand against the Biafran strughle, there wouldn’t be Anambra Governorship election, readily comes to mind.
