Mohammed Abacha, the son of the late military head of state, Gen. Sani Abacha, has promised to unseat All Progressives Congress (APC) in the forthcoming governorship election in Kano state slated for  February 2015.
He made this promise when he came to Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) national secretariat to pick his governorship nomination and expression of interest form.
Abacha said he would ensure that the PDP wins the governorship seat in the 2015 election, promising to enthrone good governance and true democracy dividends in the state, if he emerges as the state’s next governor in 2015.
He is to contest for the PDP ticket, with other aspirants at the party`s primaries slated for Nov. 29, ahead of the Feb 2015 governorship elected.
The son of the late head of state, expressed optimism that if given the PDP ticket at the primaries to contest the governorship election, he will unseat the opposition in the state in 2015.
This, he said was so, because he has the support of majority of the people of the state.
He however debunked insinuations that he lost the 2011 Kano governorship election, saying; “I did not lose the election, my name was removed from the list of aspirants so I didn’t contest that election.’’
Abacha promised to improve the living standard of the people of the state by creating employment for the unemployed and effectively utilising the state’s human and mineral resource for the benefit of all.
