2018 budget: AMAC opens bid for capital projects

 

The Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC), in compliance with the provision of the Public Procurement Act 2007 to all Ministries, Departments, and Agencies, has conducted its Opening of Tender for 2018 capital projects.

The Council Secretary, Hon. Halidu Adamu Garki, who doubles as the Chairman Tenders Board, reiterated the Council’s stand for transparency, stressing that the opening of tender was an exercise for all procurements to ensure transparency and due process in its contracts bidding processes and awards.

The projects and services bidded for ranged from construction of primary healthcare centers and schools, road rehabilitation, rural electrification and supplies of stationeries, office and school furniture, vehicles and transformers.

Responding on behalf of the contractors, Lewrence Udo, from Hamasons Nig Ltd and Mohammed Abdullahi from Slum-Flazas Nig Ltd, commended Abuja Municipal Area Council on the transparent manner at which the opening of the tender was conducted.

Engr. Alhassan Zakwoyi, HOD Works of the Council urged the prospective contractors to maintain standards in execution of the projects.
